An Exodus

Banning,California. In spite of a blistering heat of the sun, Calbayognons living in the United States are enthusiastic and happy in attending the Saturday novenas
honoring the coming 317Th Fiesta celebration for the Nativity of the Blessed
Virgin Mary in our home country in the Philippines.Come September 8,2009.

Calbayog.A first class city in Western Samar. Samar, being the third largest island
in the Philippines.Currently has an estimated population of 164,000.

Calbayog City for us is truly a cherished old city where we can find our roots.A place where our childhood friends are.A Serene place for people who wanted peace.By just swimming in the nearby beaches is good enough to release the stress, thus curing a bit of weariness brought about by our daily struggle to earn money for a family to live.
Through the years, I still clearly recall when we were in grade school. When we were excited then to wake up early in anticipation for a Diana. It is a centuries old
practice in our city to employ ambulant musician to play nostalgic music at daybreak for the purpose of waking up the residents to usher in the series of activities for the grand day ahead.Till then bye
